West of Redemption - Larry and Corrie about to set off for CA

Larry and I are about to embark upon a three-festival tour of California this month. "West of Redemption" will be screening in three festivals, and we will attend each screening. We hope to see CA folks there:)

) A new adaptation of an early, autobiographically-infused coming-of-age romance, written in 1951 by Madeleine L'Engle, the author of the wildly successful classic A Wrinkle In Time. Adelaide Clemens (of SundanceTV's Rectify) and Gregg Sulkin (of MTV's Faking It) star as teens in1948 New York City, dealing with growing up while both sets of their parents are on the verge of breaking up. Cary Elwes, Samantha Mathis, Margaret Colin, and Lenny Von Dohlen play the parents, while Robert Picardo and Camryn Manheim play the parents both teens wish were theirs. (
) Produced in Washington State, the movie was adapted and directed by Seattle filmmaker Cornelia Duryée Moore. The screening will be presented to celebrate the film's DVD and digital release throughout the US on the day following. (

Prepare the way of the Film!

Larry and I are happily preparing for the launch of our beloved movie "Camilla Dickinson" on August 25th! There are, of course, the 67 million (give or take) "deliverables" due to your distributor when a movie you have worked on for so many years is about to be released. But what a wonderful set of tasks. It is such an incredible blessing to be where we are this summer with Camilla, and with "West of Redemption". No matter how tough things get...and they have been...daunting lately of course...I have a very thankful heart. We hope and pray to reach lots of current, and future, Madeleine fans with this film :) We had a wonderful SIFF, premiering "West of Redemption". I hope to get pictures of that evening soon for the blog here. Till then, here is the amazing and talented Tony Becerra and me at the fun Women in Film "Northwest Connections" party:)

Coming back to the Blog Again

For years I have not posted here on my blog, but have instead posted on my Mom's CaringBridge (www.caringbridge.org/visit/sylviaduryee). Since her death on December 20th, 2014, I have been buried, both in grief and in work on several movies at once, and I have not come back to write in my own blog here. (
