Day 23, Beauty, a little violence, and joyful solidarity

It was an absolutely incredible day today. Not only did we do a beautiful scene, with many actors in a small room, rather well if I do say so myself, but we all spent 20 minutes outside the building we were filming in, due to a strange fire alarm...(shades of JourneyQuest Season One...) Kieran Walton, our "Cody", wrapped today, after his long and difficult-to-play scene, as did many of the wonderful actors playing his caregivers, along with film-friends Sam and Tallis. His Film Family was sad to see him go. Also Alex the Mighty was wrapped today, and that is always sad. Every day is a cherished blessing, full of celebration. When it is tough, as it was a bit today, we walk through it with grace and good humor. I have the good fortune to work with angels on a daily basis. Utterly grateful for every one of these beloved people. The five (well six if you count the baby girl passenger) lovely women are our Camera Department Women. Candace, Audrey, Robin-and-Child, Angie, our Second Unit D.P., and our D.P., the inimitable Alisa Tyrrill.
